Brain-typing ai: People in this digital world are surrounded by new technologies. In such a situation, have you ever thought that what you think should be typed automatically. Yes, in 2017, Facebook introduced a unique idea. According to the company, there should be a brain-reading system that can only type with thinking. After many years of research, the company has progressed in this direction. However, this technology is not available to the common people right now.
How Meta’s brain-type AI works
This technique of META analyzes the activities of the brain through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and neuroscience and guess which letter the person is typing. But there is also a problem in it. Actually, this entire system depends on a large and expensive equipment. Also, it can be used only in a controlled experiment room.
According to the Mit Technology review, this technique uses magnetonsphalography (MeG) machine, which sends the smallest brain activities to the machine under magnetic signals. This machine is very sensitive.
Not available for common people yet
Even though this technique is a big achievement scientifically, it will take a long time to become a product. There are many reasons behind this.
The MEG machine is weighing half a ton and its price is around $ 2 million (Rs 16 crore). That is why it also cannot be made available to the common people. In addition, for the use of this machine, the person has to sit absolutely stable, because even a slight action can make the brain message wrong. Researchers from Meta Jean-Rémi King and their team are focusing on better understanding language processes in the brain rather than developing this technology as a product.
